IOS APPLICATION · 1.0
A focused acoustic-analysis workspace for wooden soundboards, built around repeatable impact capture and clear material calculations.
ILLUSTRATIVE INTERFACE PREVIEW
01 / THE WORKFLOW
Use the device microphone to listen to physical impacts on a wood sample. An adaptive threshold separates impacts from the surrounding noise floor.
A Blackman–Harris-windowed FFT identifies candidate peaks. Repeated captures are clustered to establish robust dominant Fy and Fx frequencies.
Enter longitudinal and transverse length, thickness, and mass in the measurement workspace.
Calculate density, directional elasticity, their ratio, and specific values. Save records locally and export a human-readable TXT file when needed.
02 / BUILT FOR THE MEASUREMENT
Each technical step exists to make a real acoustic comparison easier to capture, inspect, and revisit.
A 50-bin view shows fast and held energy across the 0–1000 Hz display range, with the live peak marked.
Five weighted frames follow each valid impact, while a 500 ms cooldown keeps events distinct.
Repeated mode estimates are grouped by proximity; dominant clusters are summarized with mean, median, or trimmed mean logic.
Records include frequencies, dimensions, results, and hit history in JSON, CSV, and TXT formats on the device.
